Navigation Course

Build upon your navigational skill set

Course Objective:

The PADI Underwater Navigator course fine-tunes your observation skills and teaches you to more accurately use your compass underwater. 

Prerequisites: 

  • 10+ years old

  • Must be a certified PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equavalent

  • Complete the DIVER MEDICAL - Participant Questionnaire. Read the form carefully. If you are able to answer "YES" to any of the questions, a Physician must SIGN OFF and give APPROVAL for you to participate in diving activities.

What is Involved?

  • Independent Study via PADI Underwater Navigator eLearning Course

  • (2 - 3) Open Water Dives

  • You’ll learn the tools of the trade, including navigation using natural clues and by following compass headings. During three scuba dives, you’ll practice:

  • Methods to estimate distance underwater

  •  Compass navigation while making at least five turns.

  • Marking or relocating a submerged object or position from the surface

  • PADI Underwater Navigator eLearning Course

Required Equipment:

  • Compass (we can supply you with one)

  • Slate (recommended)

How Many Students In The Course?

This course is taught with a maximum of (4) students due to the difficulty of the skills.


How Long Is The Course? 

 This course is normally completed in a day and half.

Underwater Navigation --- $350
