AWARE Shark

Conservation Course

Learn about our shark population and what we can do to help them

Course Objective:

 Learn about the value of sharks and what is causing the rapid loss of shark populations. 

Prerequisites: 

  • 12+ years old

  • PADI (Junior) Open Water or higher

  • Complete the DIVER MEDICAL - Participant Questionnaire. Read the form carefully. If you are able to answer "YES" to any of the questions, a Physician must SIGN OFF and give APPROVAL for you to participate in diving activities.

​What is Involved?

  • This specialty can be conducted as a non-diving course or as a (2)-dive specialty

  • ​Conservation status of sharks, why they are unique and vulnerable, and the importance of healthy shark populations

  • Managing threats and recognizing values of sharks

  • Taking action and joining the Project AWARE movement

  • Identifying sharks in the local area

How Many Students In The Course?

We are Proud to Offer PRIVATE / SEMI PRIVATE COURSES! Our courses are smaller, allowing us to focus on your every need, as you become a certified PADI PROJECT AWARE Shark Conservation Diver. We enroll an average of 3 students per instructor.  Many of our courses are PRIVATE, with 1 on 1 Instruction.

 This (2) Dive Course is completed in one day
