Recovery Course

Learn the techniques and skills necessary to use effective search patterns

Course Objective:

If you’ve ever lost something in the water and wanted to go find it,  you will learn effective ways to search for objects underwater that increase your chances of success.


  • 12+ years old 

  • Must be a certified PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent

  • RSTC Medical Form signed by a Doctor if the diver has any medical conditions. Download the Medical Form Here

What is Involved?

  • Knowledge Development (home study)

  • 4-Open Water Dives

  • Swim search patterns using your compass and natural navigation.

  • Locate large and small objects using various search patterns.

  • Use a lift bag for large or heavy objects, plus other recovery methods.

  • Plan a search operation based on facts gathered about a lost object prior to the dive.

Required Course Materials:

  • PADI Search & Recovery Manual

Required Equipment:

  • ​ Basic scuba equipment

  •  Compass 

  • Underwater slate

  • All Equipment Is Supplied for No Additional Cost

How Many Students In The Course?

We are Proud to Offer ​PRIVATE / SEMI PRIVATE COURSES. Our courses are smaller, allowing us to focus on your every need, as you become a certified PADI Search & Recovery Diver. We enroll an average of 3 students per instructor.  Many of our courses are PRIVATE, with 1 on 1 Instruction.

How Long Is The Course? 

This Course is completed in 4 dives over 2 days.
