Rescue Diver Course

Increasing the Safety of Divers

Course Objective:

The Rescue Diver Certification is designed to teach you how to prevent and respond to dive accidents.

Prerequisites: 

  • 12 years old 

  • ​Adventure Diver Certification

  • CPR / AED Certification within the last 2 years (We offer this certification in conjunction with the Rescue Course upon request and is known as EFR Primary & Secondary Care)​​

  • RSTC Medical Form signed by a Doctor if the diver has any medical conditions. Download the Medical Form Here

What is Involved?

  • ​Knowledge Development (online, or home study) 

  • 5 In-Water Sessions (over 2 days)

What Will I Learn?

  • Self rescue skills

  • Evaluation & responses to diver stress

  • Proper management and rescue of panicked, responsive, and unresponsive victims

  • Managing victims underwater and on the surface (both deep water and shallow)

  • Proper dive site emergency protocols 

  • CPR, First Aid, & AED use**

Required Course Materials:

  • PADI Rescue Diver Manual & DVD or eLearning Pass

  • EFR Primary & Secondary Care Manual

  • **​**EFR Primary & Secondary Care can be completed in conjunction with the PADI Rescue Course for an additional Cost


How Many Students In The Course?

We are Proud to Offer SEMI PRIVATE RESCUE COURSES!
Our courses are smaller allowing us to focus on your every need along the way of becoming a great rescue diver. Rescue Course however, is best when taken with a small group of divers. If you happen to be the only student we will supply other divers to participate!


How Long Is The Course? 

Our courses are performance based. This means we have no time limit on any of our courses. We will work with any student until they are 100% comfortable with the skills involved. You will leave our class feeling confident and ready to take on your next diving adventure. But.. for scheduling purposes, the Rescue Diver Certification Course averages 2 days long.

After completing the Rescue Diver Certification the next step is Divemaster or Specialty Courses!

Cost:

Rescue Diver Course --- $500
​Includes: Equipment Rental, Additional Air Fills, Course Materials, Rental DVD, Course Fees, & Certification Fees
Does Not Include: CPR, First Aid & AED Certification

 

EFR (1st Aid, CPR & AED Training --- $100

Includes: Course Materials, Course Tuition, & Certification Fees

 

eLearning Rescue Diver Course --- $500

The eLearning version of the classroom and homework allows the student to complete this at their leisure prior to arriving. This allows the student to save several hours of valuable vacation time by having the classroom portion completed prior.
