The charter begins with a 30-45 minute informal classroom session in which we will discuss the lionfish problem in the Caribbean, the ethics of responsible underwater hunting, and the techniques, equipment, and risks involved in erradicating the invading lionfish species.

 

Following the classroom portion of your charter, your dive guide will take you into the pool for some practice! You'll go over adjusting bouyancy for hunting, approaching the fish, setting up your shot, and finally taking the fish...

 

Then we go out and start having fun! We'll gear up and swim out to Davis Bay Wall where we'll search for and hopefully bag some lionfish. Keep your eyes peeled, they can be hard to spot!
